The Wheel Brake Assembly (WBA) is suitable to be a part of the Main Landing Gear Brake System to generate the braking torque necessary to control, reduce and stop the wheel speed of the H/C on ground operation and to sink the heat generated by the braking application. The WBA is hydraulically powered and is installed inside each Main Wheel Assembly (MWA) of the H/C.

Each brake includes:

– Nr.5 pistons that produce a force normal to the friction pad surface that in turn yields a braking torque on the main wheel.

– Nr. 2 rotor discs.
