The Speedbrake Control Unit (SECU) is an electronic LRU that includes a mixed analog/digital design in order to effectively control the movement of the Speedbrake by driving the Hydraulic Control Unit.

The SECU executes the following main functions:

– Interface with Front Pilot Throttle

– Interface with Rear Pilot Throttle

– Interface with Configuration Command Signal

– Interface with Main Bus Bar Power

– Interface with Essential Bus Bar Power

– Interface with the Speedbrake Position Sensor

– Interface with the landing Gear Control Unit

– Interface with Avionic SubSystem

– Interface with Hydraulic Control Unit

– Implement the Control Logic

– Implement the Monitor Logic
