The System Accumulator (SA) is an hydro-pneumatic device, piston separator type designed to contain pre-charged gas physically separated from the stored hydraulic fluid. 

The fluid side is connected to the HPS while the gas is stored, at pre-charged condition, in the gas vessel side. 

It has been designed to be used in a type II, 3000 psi hydraulic system.
